Year 2015 is announced as the Year of Literature and the Year of Spanish language in Russia. Yekaterinburg gallery of Modern art has organized an exhibition project that is devoted to a Spanish novel “The Ingenious Gentleman Don Quixote of la Mancha” by Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra, it will be 400 years in 2015 since it was first published.
Yekaterinburg viewers will see a series of the famous Ural artist for the first time on April 29, this series merges the plot and original fiction in surprising way. The exhibition with an intriguing title will feature more than 40 art works of Vladimir Safronov, who is known as a painter, muralist, talented illustrator of a great number of kids’ books and poetry collections. Poetry and fantasy were very close to the artist. The evidence of it is a cycle of paintings and graphics devoted to an image of the eternal romantic, Don Quixote, this character caught the artist’s imagination during his last twenty years.

The exhibition will run until May 12 daily from 11:00 a.m. till 8:00 p.m.
