Yekaterinburg gallery of modern art in cooperation with art-centre “Perinnye ryady” and Demeter Fragrance Library are glad to present photo-project “Perfumer”, which was exhibited in Saint Petersburg in spring 2015.
The distinctive feature of the exhibition is the combination of photography and nude art with authorial fragrances. The combination of them is supposed to reveal the idea of photography. In the synthesis of photography and perfume the latter isn’t considered as a simple addition but it plays equal and essential part. Special created fragrances make the photography image completed and evoke bright viewer’s associations.
More than 40 photographers from Russia and near abroad participated in this photo-project such as Dmitry Chapala, Andrey Lukas, Sergey Lenin, Pavel Kiselev and others.
Idea of this project was shaped by Andrei Bazanov, the senior producer of the Art-centre, he had been wanting to merge visuals and fragrances.
“During the organization of the exhibition we often based on a smell when we chose a photo. The perception of a fragrance is the whole world, that should be studied, and it is a wave of emotions and insights when feeling a certain fragrance.
We would like to invite you to the world of different fragrances at “Perfumer”.
