“New reality of Ely Bielutin” 17 September – 25 October.
The first exhibition of art-reformer, Ely Bielutin, the founder of a “theory of universal contact” takes place in Yekaterinburg during 17 September – 18 October. He developed a painting technique that expresses personal emotional and aesthetic experiences.
Yekaterinburg gallery of modern art and Nizhny Tagil museum of fine arts present a collection of paintings and graphics by the legendary artist Ely Bielutin from the Nizhny Tagil museum’s collection.
Ely Bielutin was a visual artist, teacher and art historian. He was one of the exponents of Russian avant-garde art in post-Soviet Russia. The exhibition “New reality” demonstrates the diversity of the artist’s search for new ways to express art from the 1940s to the 2000s. The exhibition also proves Bielutin’s art is still up-to-date in the contemporary art scene.
Ely Bielutin’s paintings and graphics are displayed in Russian museums (the State Tretyakov Gallery, the State Russian museum), Georges Pompidou Center in France and in private collections in Russia and abroad.
You can see this unique exhibition of 18 paintings and 6 graphics in Yekaterinburg's gallery of modern art from 17 September to 25 October.
