A gifted Urals painter, writer, traveler, close friend of Vladislav Krapivin, the famous Russian writer, journalist, public figure. He studied at Sverdlovsk Art School in 1951-1956. He took private lessons with I.K. Slusarev. In addition to that he graduated from the Republican School of painting in Kishinev, Moldavia, and from Moscow Art Institute named after V.I. Surikov. Evgeniy Pinaev has adventurous character; he worked as sailor, carpenter, skipper, boatswain while sailing on the barkentine “Meridian” and the barge “Kruzenshtern”. The big part of his creative works is sea landscapes from cruises. He also wrote some adventure and philosophical stories edited in 1980-th.
